This next sequence of pictures shows Colonel Simeon Trombitas, Post Commander at Fort Carson, addressing those who gathered. He spoke some from the Code of Conduct that governed the conduct of American prisoners in later wars. He also used a phrase I'd never heard to describe some of the efforts: Prisoners At War who continued to oppose the enemy, where possible, even after being captured.
