NKP in the Later Years

This picture is perhaps from around 1970. Task Force Alpha in the lower right was built in the summer of 1967. The original parking ramp just left of the center of the picture has been supplemented by a much larger ramp parallel much of the runway. Much of the jungle along the runway has been cleared away. This picture was taken facing west-southwest with Laos about 8 nautical miles behind the photographer.
