Welcome Home

23^rd TASS Commander Lt. Col. Johnston (center) receives a warm welcome home from FACs, maintenance personnel, Thais, and Laotians of the 23^rd Tactical Air Support Squadron. In the background is the Jolly Green Giant HH-3 helicopter, which had been used in the rescue of Lt. Col. Johnston and a Thai Communications Office from their crash site in the Laotian jungles.
