A-26 Flight Line

Air Commando troops are busy preparing the A-26s for the Nimrods’ night missions.  This was the main parking ramp in 1966-1967. The two hangars at the left edge of the picture are between this main parking ramp and the Cricket parking ramp where the O-1s and later the O-2s operated out of.  I think there was a line of 5 hangars, and one of those hangars is pictured in the Thailand 2000 pictures.  The picture is taken looking southeast from the cockpit of an O-1. (The whirling propeller is visible along in the right part of the picture, covering the jeep and the last two A-26s.)  The Jolly Greens and Sandies sat alert beyond the two A-26s at the right edge of the picture.  The tall trees above those A-26s would be in the vicinity of the TUOC and the dispensary in 1967.
