Mixed Formations

The monsoons of Southeast Asia put a premium on all-weather bombing capabilities.  One tactic to improve the capabilities of the existing forces was to place fighter bombers in formation with other aircraft that had greater radar-bombing capabilities.  Here the crew of an RB-66 Destroyer has just called the bomb release for four F-4Cs.
