Jim Traywick, Mac Thompson, and John Sweet share the Saturday afternoon hospitality at the Lone Staar Bar in Bangkok on our first day in Thailand. 8/26/00 We offer a big THANK YOU to Jim for coordinating with the Royal Thai Air Force regarding our proposed visits to Ubon and Korat, which are still active RTAF Bases. Assigned to 13th Air Force on Guam, Jim worked through his contacts to get us escorted by the Deputy Wing Commander at Ubon. We didn’t end up on Korat as the morning we proposed was the same morning the Chief of Staff of the RTAF was retiring, with the ceremony taking place on Korat. I can understand that.
