Looking north over the old Cricket parking ramp. The remaining hangar is barely visible beyond the trees on the left. This was the view I had taxiing in from more than 200 combat missions at NKP. Back in 1967, all the trees had been cleared out, the path ahead was PSP, and O-1s or O-2s were parked along both sides. Our van is parked in the distance in front of the current passenger terminal, which is being replaced in October 2000 by a much larger terminal built about a half mile north.
